It is best to send texts on times ending in 0 or 5. Though 0 normally works better.
i.e. 10:20 or 23:40

But recently even on those times it's not been working very well.

If you're going to use it my advice is - type your message and the number, do everything until you get to the page before it does the "sending" thing. Then hit "send" dead on the minute. 90% of the time it goes.

Regarding the Text 4 Free site, I just sent a test to my phone (just 1, not 100 haha) not come through yet but I wouldn't expect a free text service to come through in 2 minutes. Hopefully sooner than half an hour though!

Or open a tab with the CBF time page and refresh - keeping your message in another tab. Doesn't work in IE6 obviously but nobody should be using IE6 anyway
