Indeed. Do you know the only thing better than paying cheap mortgage rates on your house.

Paying cheap mortgage rates on the house you bought after the house price crash. :rotfl:

Are you as boring in real life as you are on this forum?

    "Your Rent's Due, Ta"

    I like that - a LOT!!

Say's it all in just 4 small words ......

There are people I know paying over £1,000 a month in rent - that is staggering, quite staggering, £12,000 a year off someone else's Mortgage when they could have their own!

Imagine asking someone else if you can paint the loo? Imagine waiting for the broken Washing Machine to be fixed? Imagine cutting someone else's lawn for them? Imagine ...... I can't, sorry, I've done it and it's damned painful :(

If only houses and money were this cheap when I was renting ... I would be out like a shot!

Really? Does the land lord not pay any interest on their mortgage then?

Lets not forget the part of the report that states rents will rise by 22% over the next five years.

    Bad for renters:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

    Good for potential BTLers:beer::j:rotfl::T:rotfl::j:beer:

The time to buy is now!!!!!!!!!!!

Indeed - that's exactly what I've done with my BTLs

Bought in in early 2009. Couldn't have timed it better!

Shame you didn't have the spine to do so at the same time.

Oh - and in case there are any more ageist jibes from embittered bears, I am the same age as geneer - late 30s.

Difference is that I've not paid rent since I was able to stand on my own two feet in my mid-twenties... oh that and I dont come on here bleating about how unfair life is !!

Cant see a problem with your plan.

As long as wages allow you to pick a number of pounds you want in rent.

Indeed. Those looking to buy will find the much reduced competition hugely beneficial when bidding on their chosen property.

For those who can't buy just yet, as house prices are due to fall in real terms, theres never been a better time to focus on saving away for that deposit.

That's right. Keep on saving Geneer, one day you'll get there.

Only if Italy falls .... and it has steadied the market now.

It's all going to blow over - these things always do .... I am very old and have seen it all before, it's just called different things.

The biggest economic mess since the Great Depression is "just going to blow over". You should do stand up :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I do wonder if you are being serious when you post because no-one could be such a tool? Could they?

Oh right. You were very brave. Waiting until after a crash to buy. :rotfl:

Pretty sure paying rent counts as standing on your own two feet too nollag.

You didn't move out of your Mums until your mid twenties? Lordy.
And I was standing on my own two feet at 17.

A larger deposit pays significant dividents Rob.
And if prices are falling in real terms theres no need to rush.

I'm unsure why this observation should anger you.
