Relocation - Travel allowance

Hi just a quick query.
Ive been relocated in work as my previous job role was made redundant. Reading the contract i could get 100% of the additional mileage for 3 years then a 3 year rundown. Rumour is that we will be given a one off payment.
My question is if that one off payment isnt as much as the sum of the mileage would be over that period of time do i have to accept the one of payment or can i request the mileage to be paid as i do it?

If your contract says what you say it says then you should be able to insist on the actual mileage. All depends what the contract actually says and how the one off payment proposal has come about.
