Grey Dress, Coloured Shoes - What Colour Tights?

Hi,

This has got nothing to do with money saving, but I do tend to trust advice I read here!

Tomorrow I'm going to a dinner/dance which is semi formal (men will wear shirt and jacket but no tie).

I've got a medium grey sheer dress which is lined and comes to the knee. My shoes will be either purple or green heels - haven't got any grey shoes.

What colour tights should I wear? Nude? Barely Black? Nearly Black? I can't wear no tights as my legs are too pasty!

Hi there, any chance you could post a pic of the dress? I would be inclined to go for nude fishnets-I find the are a happy medium between not wearing tights and wearing sheer. I think nude dont look too tarty either. ( I think black fishnets look nice but I feel self concious in them)

Nude and the purple heels or green heels should be fine.

Semi formal used to mean Black Tie once upon a time. White Tie was Formal. Terms really change over the years.

Yup, nude, or if you're feeling adventurous then SHEER purple or green to match your shoes, if you can find them.
