Just to clarify, the system doesn't need to be installed by an MCS registered company - it needs to be commissioned and signed off by an MCS registered sole trader or company. A lot of companies use labourers to do the roofing and donkey work plus one spark to do the wiring, inspection and testing, commissioning and signing off the docs.
There is an energy company, can't remember which one, that will be accepting email submissions and open all weekend to accept submissions before the deadline.
Anyone planning to get a late pre deadline install might consider shopping around on their energy suppliers.0 -

I'm pretty sure that anyone who's a member of the cartel will be queueing up to sign off other peoples' work for a £5 backhander, even if it's been professionally installed by appropriately registered and qualified tradesmen ....... Although it's pretty standard for a body which has the appropriate accreditation to subcontract work, it must be pretty rare for it to work the other way around ....
. It would be good to know whether you have any inside information on who's providing this service as it would probably be of interest to many readers of these boards.
Regarding changing energy supplier between now and the 12/12 pv FiT deadline ... well, considering there's the 12 day 'cooling off' period followed by around 3 weeks to transfer, it may not have the desired effect with just over 3 weeks to go and could possibly introduce added complexities to the process .... Is it possible that you could elaborate as to why this would be an advantage considering the tight timescales and why this approach would be seen as not having potential pitfalls.
