Hi, can anyone advise please.
My partner got a mortgage May2011 for £60000 for a repossession that was up for £65000. We put the 10% deposit up and have been here since then.
Now my partner wants to release equity to pay off 2 credit cards that where used for fixing the house and paying the solicitors.
We have had 2 meetings at the halifax and in the first meeting everything was thumbs up but now we have had the second meeting and told them my partners pregnant they are now saying they might not be able to lend anymore.
My partners in full time work and has been at her job for 3 years, earns £22000 and has excpetional credit. Only owes mortgage and 2 cards.
Is there a way to pay off the cards and release equity???
