Toilet breaks

Posting on behalf of a friend (hope this is ok) as
a) she is embarassed and
b) she posted before and got a rough ride as a newbie
She has been offered a job in retail but has a medical condition that means that for certain days of the month she needs to visit toilet frequently. So much so her doctor has advised her to get a RADAR key so she can used disabled toilets.
It is only usually 2 days a month so what can she do? Obviously she doesn't want to not to work when she is perfectly capable just needs to nip to toilet frequently a couple of days a month. She has previously worked in an office so it has not been an issue but no office jobs have come up.
How should she handle this? Get a Drs letter (not sure if Dr would write one would they?) Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

I don't think it will be much of an issue to be honest. She could get a doctors letter if needs be but I can't imagine it would be a huge issue if it's only a couple of days a month.
Tell her not to worry so much and see what happens and what she needs to do if it isn't taken very well or she needs back upIf women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -
First step is to just speak to HR / her boss. If they want a doctors note then she'll need a doctors note; but they might just be fine with it seeing as it's only a couple of times a month and not wanting regular access.0

If it is only 2 days a month, there is a 2 in 7 chance it'll be on a weekend as well. If by frequently we're talking once every couple of hours for 5 minutes a time, I can't see it being a massive problem, especially as one occurence is likely to be in a lunch break or tea break time. Smokers can do more than that as cig breaks.0

Thanks all you have put her mind at rest.
It can be hourly it really depends on whether it is a good or bad month but usually every couple of hours. As Hammmyman says it may not occur during her shifts especially as contract is only for 8 hours per week.
Thanks again.

Perhaps she could ask about working in the stockroom or back office for those days? Might be more practical than having to nip off a till or leave a customer?0
