Black Horse & DLC
Hi
I have been paying off a loan with Black Horse since an accident nearly four years ago, which resulted in me having to close my business as a result of the injuries sustained. It has been managed until last month with no real problems, but they have refused to accept the payments that were being made, or any sensible increase that I could make. I came to an arrangement with Black Horse, which was a bit complicated, I got a settlement deal on one, and they restructured/amalgamated another one or two, (I cant remember just now and don't feel well enough to go digging files out of storage at the moment.
It has now been sold I guess to DLC AKA Hillesdon Securities. I intended to pay the same amount that I had been paying Black Horse, (£18.00 month I am on pension credit and handicapped). On the letter there is the usual bank giro credit/transcash slip, this of course does not not have a usable account number for me to make payments with unless I waste money paying a fee at the post office. (I have tried with others to pay this way but they generally don't work at p.o.) I do not want to call them, I only ever deal in writing, I learned the hard way. Does anyone know what their bank account details are? I can't set up a standing order without it, and there is no way they will get a direct debit mandate!
I don't really feel that I want to complete their questionaire either.
Any help or suggestiions gratefully recieved.
Cheers:)

Hi
Certainly agree with you not phoning them and not giving them a DD mandate.
I would not complete the questionaire but would simply write to them to state that your circumstances haven't changed and you can still only afford £18 per month. I would then simply ask them for their bank details so you can set up a standing order (some people enclose the first payment by cheque). Usually worth sending the letter recorded delivery so they can't ignore it or cannot say you haven't responded.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Thanks Tixy, pretty much what I thought of doing.

Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Thanks for that.
I have made an instant payment via bank transfer and set up a standing prder for the same amount that I was paying to Black Horse.
It has been recievfed by their bank, with their reference number, but ignored. I also wrote to them by recorded delivery, and that has been ignored. I am getting persistant phone calls from them.
I have just received two letters from them (sent from a Rugby p.o. box. One says that they have been in touch with the land registry, and see that I am a property owner, and the other sending a financial questionaire. No acknowledgement of my letter or having been sent money. I fear the worst-this is under £2K!
