Organising shoes / boots...?

This is probably the wrong forum, but regardless...

Organise shoes in a space saving way, how? Do you keep them in their boxes or do something else?

Buy a shoe rack  Best Wishes...
If winter comes, can spring be far behind?
    Spring begins on 21st March.
  • i either keep mine in the boxes and stack them on top of each other in the cupboard. Or you can buy plastic shoe boxes which are great and you can get more than one pair in them too!!! It keeps your shoes looking as good as new for the next time you want to wear them

That would be good, but then I'd have to shell out for the boxes, going to start saving shoe boxes again. But again, that takes up a lot of space in the bottom of the wardrobe. If I start stacking them - it interferes with dresses / long skirts hanging down...

I use a canvas hanging storage thingy - a search for shoe hang* (with the asterix) on eBay will bring up plenty of pictures of what I mean - although I'm sure you could find them cheaper in somewhere like Dunelm or Woolworths

Takes up the equivalent of 2 or 3 hangers space on the wardrobe rail, and everything is visible and easily accessible.

  • I was looking into clear shoe boxes and they look quite nice with your shoes showing thru them so you know which box to open and the fact that they will all be the same kind also look neat. Saw some on eBay but they are slightly costly.

I looked them up on Ebay, but yeah, very costly! Also potentially going to take up quite a lot of space...

Shoes I wear often go in the settle in the hall for easy access!

Shoes I wear occasionally are just placed on the bottom of my wardrobe under the hanging clothes.
Here I go again on my own....

Why dont you consider asking your local shoe shop for some spare shoe boxes?

I work in a shoe shop & we must have thrown away about 40-50 shoe boxes today.

We break ours down as we go but if you rang before you went I'm sure they'd save a few for you.

We are always saving shoe boxes for schools/churches/individuals :)

We've just saved 22 for someone who was going to play deal/no deal - they were really fussy & wanted identical sized boxes!! We were still stupid enough to oblige :rotfl:

Lol. I used to work in a shoe shop in my summer holidays... I know the thing of people coming in demanding shoe boxes and then coming in the next day complaining they were too big / too small / etc.

I'm not so keen on taking up all that space with shoe boxes. It tends to get a tad disorganised. Knock one down and next thing there's a full scale mess! Thanks for your suggestion tho!;)
