a good value buy for an ipod dock is the iSymphany M2U
http://www.comet.co.uk/cometbrowse/product.do?sku=359122
i've got one in my room at a house share and the sound is ample.
its an ipod dock with usb and memory card reader, cd player and dvd player with optical and s video connections.
A real bargain for 149.99 and can be used as a full media solution for smaller houses/bedrooms.
( i got mine even cheaper because it was 'opened in error')
don't know what i'd do without it

I think they are a total waste of moeny as they have terrible sound quality compared to plugging it into a decent hi-fi seperates sound system. I appreciate that some people dont have the space but I'd rather pay a bit more to someone like RICHER SOUNDS and have somenthing thats not tinny and awful.
True, but a hi-fi is not very practicle for taking on holiday, staying a night in a hotel, taking on the office etc etc. Most of the decent quality expensive ones are too bulky for this as well. It depends what you want your equipment for at the end of the day.
Incidentally, in my opinion, people who still use the headphones supplied with their iPod etc rather than investing in decent ones will be well used to substandard sound quality!!0 -
Hi all,
I recently ordered an ipod dock for the mrs. it was an extremac luna.
only prob is it hasn't turned up. they haven't taken the money yet so its not a major issue but as it was a bday pressie for 16 jan - im in the dog house.
wots really annoyin is that they keep moving the estimated despatch date. e.g at start of this week it was 1/2/07 then on that day its now 5/2/07. can they do this? i have an email on 6 jan says 2-3 days! phone calls r gettin me no where.
if it wasn't the best price about id go somewhere else! this money saving is hard work!0 -

Fits the sub £20 criteria and while the sound may not suit the professionals, its good enough and a little mp3 player thrown in
