Hi, does anyone have a simple way of making home made chocs, ive picked up a silocon mold from sains which i think is an ice cube tray but is in the shapes of fruit and thought it would make a nice gift off my daughters to family members for xmas.

The trick is getting chocolate to temper properly, but to say a very simple recipe I have read (but never tried)
*melted chocolate covering the base of the mould
* tinned caramel (carnation stuff) - a blob in each one
*topped off with more melted chocolate
Yum, now I'm hungry!!0 -
Dont know about chocolates but you can make peppermint creams and put them in the moulds.
Icing Sugar
Egg white
few drops of peppermint essence, mix to a ball, roll out and cut into little rounds, press into the moulds. (as it is or you could put a dollop
of chocolate in each mould befoe you put the peppermint mix in.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
google jamie olivers truffle recipe, not tried it yet but I am going to looks easy - no tempuring0

Thanks for the reminder...have about 300ml of double cream and some old dark chocolate to use up - will turn into a ganache and add a dash of cointreau. My silicone chocoloate moulds were from Poundland btw.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!
