  • Lloyds loans amongst many others allow overpayments - they only reduce the term of the loan, not the repayment, Never pay off in full, as you incure 2 months interest as a penalty, but nothing to stop paying off ALMOST the whole balance, leaving only 1 or 2 more payments, therefore you only get charged a few quid interest.

    If I was in your position, I would want my parents to have full visibility of my financial affairs - i.e. bank statements credit reports etc , until you have paid off the loan, as these things can spiral out of control
    Unless it is damaged or discontinued - ignore any discount of over 25%

    Before applying for a loan, you should have good credit rating.
