Global debt recovery ltd

Hi, hope someone can help me here. I had a couple of loans with lloyds tsb. 1997 and 1998. There is still an amount owing on these loans. I have been chased by a company called global debt recovery ltd of new malden surrey. Well i have just recieved a letter from then to tell me they have bee assigned the debt from LLtsb. But they go on to say they have now assigned it to a company called FV-1. And that FV-1 have asked global to administer the debt. I have received nothing at all from FV-1 in writing and have never heard of them. ltsb have not informd me of theassiggnment to global. Should they do this. And can global reassign debt to a third party. has anyone heard of this company called FV-1, or is it just another arm of global. Hope someone understands my message.
