Hello Everyone,
we just bought a house, and will soon need someone to lay down about 85sqm of real wooden flooring.
Does anyone know how much I should expect to pay for this job in NI? I found some recommendations online (£15/sqm), but that was mainly mainland based. Will it be roughly the same, or should it be a bit cheaper?
Thanks,
dsab

Different economic conditions, the South-east and a few years back, so YMMV in NI.
Methods probably also come into it. Floating floor with a click system may be different to blind nailing tounge in groove.0 -
My first thought was £15 is plenty. Two boys who know what they're doing should throw that down in a few days and given the number of joiners sitting around watching daytime TV at the moment they should be jumping over each other for the work.
Looking on Gumtree there's at least half a dozen joiners that do floors - ring 3-4, get them out to quote, pick the one you like and tell him what he needs to do it for. Good luck - let us know how you get on.0
