There's more chance of winning the lottery these days than the prospect of an interest rate rise.0

Excellent news. And long may it continue!

I'm also happy with that decision as it keeps my mortgage nice and low, and enables me to overpay the maximum allowable.0

Equity rich owners are in for a fabulous few more years. In fact, I'd bed that rates will remain ultra low for much of the decade. Even recent buyers may find themselves on a cheap SVR, or at least comforted that efforts to protect the housing market has ensured the value of their property will remain stable and not crash. The biggest losers will of course be renters, with rents surging as population growth rockets ahead of house building.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. At least you have the satisfaction of knowing that your repayments won't change for the length of the fixed term Robmatic. If you're on a tight budget then it's peace of mind.0 -

That was part of my reasoning when I took it out and I am still happy with the decision I made at the time. It's only hindsight that complicates things!0 -
