Just a thought, when something like this is found so cheaply, it is generally a pricing error which seems to be the case this time.
When cs, HO and stores start to receive hundreds of calls about the same product, 2 things are likely to happen very quickly.
1. a lot of cs/t's staff will see the price, tell you none in stock and buy them for themselves, as has already been reported on here.
2. HO will wonder why they are suddenly receiving so many calls about a particular item being in stock and it will not take them long to realise the price error and correct it, as now seems to have happened.
I know that people can't always afford a wasted trip but the glitch is likely to last much longer and you'd have more chance of them being in stock, if t's staff were not alerted by all the phonecalls.A clinically depressed person with a sleep condition. Well i went to my local and there was a section with some 16" bikes for £60 and no 18" bargain ones. I asked them to look out back for me and she just said the night staff always sort that stuff but that they couldn't find any themselves. That's Newt0n Aycl*ffeInternet earnings:

Totally appreciate where you are coming from and I'm all for them not spotting it quickly, but as I live in the middle of the sticks any journey to a decent sized Tesco is a good 30 mile round trip, so have no choice in checking stock. If we lived close I wouldn't have phoned, would just pop in. But in fairness at that price it would have only have taken one call and for it to be all around Tesco customer service, do you think the person who overheard the woman asking her colleague if she wanted one really kept it to herself?
Plus at times Tesco have reduced stuff to stupid prices and that was the price intended or they were happy to continue to sell it at that price and didn't bother to change it. Only recently I purchased over £170 worth of clothes and paid under £50 and so did many, many others, Tesco never changed it and it continued for several days.~ What's for you, won't go past you! ~0 -
Rang my local Tesco about an hour ago (Haverfordwest - have been on after school club run) and there were none left. CS said that they had received loads of calls today about them.
Although, if previous recent bargains are anything to go buy, the management probably picked them all up before they went on the shelves....0 -

Now that would be givign tesco head office and staff far more credit than they deserve. They seem to have very little nous and take forever to react to most glitches0 -
Tried calling through to my local in hartlepool but keep getting cut off.0
