    A&L will not waive the ERC I'm afraid. You have more chance of asking the wind not to blow.

    I am, however, slightly confused by the whole thing. Your statement is "Their only option is to sell their house". Not so. Their option is to wait until the ERC expires, then consider their options again, getting employment in the meantime. Sometimes, the right thing is knowing that the timing will hinder you. Foolish to rush into something and cost thousands of pounds, when it can be done a little later and save those thousands.
