Glass half full not half empty, yet again

Well I'm back, again! This is the last debt free diary I am going to have and I will do it this time.

I'm single mum to DS who is 10 in January and have been his carer since September 2010. He has ASD and was not coping at school and only attending an hour a day (loads of info on previous posts) so I made the choice to give up work and home school until a suitable school was available.

Fast forward to now and DS is doing very well, he attends weekly trampoling, swimming and cubs groups and is alot happier. AND....

He's back at a fantasic main stream primary school for the last six weeks on a part time basis and loving every minute. The choice to take time out and home school was the best choice I ever made.

But there is the money side, which is why I'm back yet again. I've recently started a payment plan with CCCS. as I can never meet minium payments and the calls/letters/demands were getting so bad I used to keep my mobile on silent.

So the money side..... Well my debt totals £6098.24 as of today. I'm estimated to be debt free by May 2013 and I'm paying CCCS £319 every month.

So why am I here? Support really I suppose, I recently had to buy school uniforms that I didn't think we needed. I've just realised that my electric has been in estimated readings since I moved in. And I'm panicking about Christmas and DS birthday in January. Ive got no back up this year no savings and is scares me.

So the aim is to get upto date with my OU course which I have just started, keep DS happy and settled, get debt free and managed my money properly. I know how to do it for other people I just can't to it for myself!

I'm going to come back with my SOA but I'm typing this on my phone and need to go the CCCS website and dont want to lose my ramblings!

Right time to really start getting rid of this debt! Which is hard as I don't work at the moment. I have been asked to be a welfare officer for my DS trampoline club once it goes BG. Which will be in a couple of months.

OU course is going ok, need to sign up for my next one soon though.

Money is so tight though, and I really want to take DS camping in September so I need to start looking at where it all goes, I've been a member of this site for so long now I really should know better!
My CCCS payment has been reduced to 131 now as I couldn't keep up with the bigger payment.

Anyway, bought some reduced mushrooms and milk yesterday so going to make up a carbonara type sauce thingy to go in the freezer as I already have spag bol out for tonight. And then crack on with some coursework.

Hope this post makes sense I have no pc or Internet at home so all done on my phone.

Oh forgot to add that DS is now in full time school and has been since the start of this year! He seems to be coping very well, I do hope I haven't jinxed it!
