today at comet i purchaced a panasonic tx-p50gt30b it should have cost £1599.99 reduced to £1299.99. i then used a 15% discount code to take the price down to £1104.15

PANASONIC TX-P50GT30B
1 £1299.00
Discount: £-194.85

then they give me a 3 d glasses worth 79.99 for free

PANASONIC TY-EW3D3ME
1 £79.99
Discount: £-79.99

then they give me a 3d blueray player worth 119.99 for free

PANASONIC DMP-BDT110EB
1 £119.99
Discount: £-119.99

i know these items can be bought cheeper then the prices i have shown but i thought this was an amazing deal worth sharing, let me know what you think. this offer is still on- just phone comet in the morning or add all to basket and add voucher code 15tv. i work it out as an amazing £900 discount.

As you say, the items can be bought ,seperately , cheaper, elsewhere for around £950 so rather saying it's a £900 discount it's more like a £50 increase.

The tv will have cost Comet about £550, the bluray player about £50 and the glasses about £30 so Comet are still making almost £400 on the 'deal'.

Just what I thought plus Comet customer care is so poor I wouldn't buy anything there again, ever.

You reckon the "Markup" on a TV is over 100%?

bigbuds, keith1950 can't provide a link because he made his 'fact' up.

There's one retailer on Google Product Search who is selling below the £1000 mark (by a penny) but they have refurbished tvs. In other words second hand.

    http://www.google.co.uk/products/catalog?q=PANASONIC+TX-P50GT30B&hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=4x&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&channel=s&prmd=imvns&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=2523865771879134985&output=nojs

So well done on finding a bargain. After all that's what MSE is all about.
