okay, your OH NEEDS to get a part time job. now is the time! LOADS of xmas temp jobs about, u only need walk up your local high street. lots of agencies will have temp vacancies to fill (try blue arrow, they have most major temp contracts uk wide)

i would seriously see if OH can rethink college.

Thanks all really appreciate some of the advice. I will call the water people now, not sure what they will say though as we do have a small debt caused by the leak, well thats what I believe, because they told me it was high and a few weeks later we found a very small leak. Anyway thanks and any other ideas would be great as we are now desperate to get something sorted, just not sure where to start.

Ok so I called South Staffs Water today and they say no they have to stay the same because we owe £85. We now have advised them that there must be a problem i.e. the leak, but they say no until the computer can see this, no balance and then they will reduce.

Hi - I am just wondering what the situation is with regards to the cars? are they on hp or some other kind of finance that looks like hp but isn't? It might be worth phoning National Debtline or someone as it may be worth giving a car back and the debt being turned into an unsecured debt and then making token payments. If they won't officially take the car back then you might have to stop paying anyway.
At the moment you are sinking by about 40 pounds a month before you even think about making repayments to the unsecured debts.
Once you've got your outgoings less than your incomings you can think about making offers of repayment to your creditors.
Can you cancel the car insurance for one of your cars and declare it SORN?
Can you cancel the sky thing saving 30 a month?
Rent and mortgage (ie keeping a roof over your head) are way more important than any of the other debts you have.

Do you need to use your washing machine once a day? Can you not reduce that to twice a week and really load up the machine and do hand washing in between where necessary?
