new bank account (reprise)

basic bank account needed, but i wish to put the o/d for my old one onto my dmp

can i just open a new one without transferring the old one?

    yes you can open a new a/c and leave the old one with the overdraft to be included in a DMP.
    just make sure you arrange for your income to go into the new a/c and arrange for any essential DD or Standing orders to be set up for the new a/c too.
  • Yes you can, I recently opened a halifax easycash account, its a basic acc with a visa electron. but no chq book or overdraft. I just got sick of my wages being swallowed by my overdrawn lloyds acc. I am loving my halifax account and its nice to know that the money that goes in, then goes where I put it, not on this charge and that interest.
