to get it absolutely clear where i stand?RedFraggle wrote: »Who's the registered keeper of the car? You or your ex?
I am, everything is and always has been 100% in my name and paid for by me.
I went to a solicitor on Saturday morning and all is pretty clear now. At or beyond the half way point he can VT should he wish to do so, however the solicitor was concerned at the the amount paid for nothing and said i would have a pretty good case to reclaim the moneys paid from my ex as it is over £5000 and counting.
If he decides to stop paying the finance company (unlikely) but its after 2/3rds of the way through the finance then it would have to be with a court order and so i would get the chance to argue my case in court.
Anyhow, I'm hoping it wont have to go that far at all and he'll just accept that the best thing is to continue to pay for the car as originally agreed. time will tell
Thanks again for all of your inputs
