Hi there all
Does any know if its the normal for O/Health to call for an interview over the phone?
I have been off work for about 10 weeks now with stress, lots going on without going into detail and also our daughter has ME/CFS.....
What should I expect ?
Any help would be great as im feeling a bit nervous.
Regards

Yes that's very common. They will have a list of questions to ask you from which they will 'score' your depression. there are various methods of doing this the most common of which is called the Hamilton Scale.
Just answer the questions factually and honestly - do not try to 'beat the system'. But you should be aware that 10 weeks sick leave is going to start alarm bells ringing with most employers and they will want an indication as to how long you are likely to be off for before deciding what to do next.
If your employer has an absence management policy you should obtain a copy and familiarise yourself with it so that you know what is likely to happen next. Employers are not required to tolerate indefinite sick leave and could dismiss you fairly on capability grounds if there is no prospect of a return to work in the short to medium term.0 -
