Mortgage name change

Hi all...
I've recently split with my wife and intend to get divorced.
Luckily, it's amicable so far.
My wife moved out months ago but is still paying half of the outgoings including the mortgage.
I am now with someone else and she will be moving in soon.
Idealy, we want to pay my wife off (the house does have equity) and take the mortgage on between us.
My mortgage is with Nationwide, and i'm hoping we can simply change the mortgage ownership from my wife, to my new partner and myself.
I doubt we can simply transfer it over easily, but what is the process whilst trying to keep the costs down?
Thanks for your advice in advance
Andy

Hi,
You will need to get solicitors involved as you need to take your ex wifes name of the titled deeds of the house. Should not be too hard. Dont know the costs re solicitors fees. Speak to current lenders they might be able to help re solicitors. Your wife will need to consent to this.
Hope this helps0 -
Thanks Zola
