Hi Everyone
I can't really believe this has happened again. I was called to the boardroom by HR this evening just before 5 to be told I was being let go due to reduced workload due to a downturn in the market. I'm devastated. This is the second time in 3 months. My confidence is well and truly destroyed. Please tell me it'll get better...

It's so demoralising isn't it, but at least you know you're not the only one and theres people to talk to about it. However I'm trying to stay positive, I had an interview a few weeks ago, and have been offered the job, just waiting for the references and checks to clear. But I think my manager got wind of it and got rid of me before I could get rid of them!! Hope theres light at the end of the tunnel for you NikkeiJones too, keep your chin up x0

I'm so sorry to hear this, during the recession in the early 1990s I was made redundant twice and it really knocked my confidence. I did find another job and started studying for a degree and changed careers totally, so every cloud and all that. cCould you sign up for some agency work while you're job hunting? Good luck. Chin up
