Short holidays in Cornwall...

I wondered if anyone can recommended accommodation be it cottage, castle, apartment or holiday camp in Cornwall this summer?

I've subscribed to the landmark trust people and haven't found anything within our budget which is £150. The accommodation must sleep 6-8 as we have friends visiting from Australia. I wanted to show them a 'traditional' style something along the lines of Butlins but there are none in Cornwall. It must also be a short break 4 days max. I've also had a look at properties here and found them to be expensive.

Maybe I'm being to fussy.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Al

John Fowler have several holiday parks in Cornwall which are mainly static caravan type accommodation, usually with an indoor pool and entertainment/bar etc.

For cottages I'm not sure you're being fussy but your budget of £150 for 6 peeps sounds mighty small to me! We, adultish couple with 2 dogs, stay in cottages in Devon and Cornwall quite a lot. Would expect to pay circa £150-£200 for a long weekend, £250 a week out of season, £300 or so for June or September. Forget July and August - too crowded and too expensive.

Hi there, I stayed at the John Fowler Holiday Camp at St Ives Holiday Village last May (had long weekend away with kinds). Stayed in a log cabin in the woodland campsite. Had evening entertainment, swimming pool, bakery and ample parking on site. Paid approx £120 for 3 nights. It was fab, cabin was basic but clean and warm with microwave, TV, video and Fridge/freezer. Done lots of sightseeing i.e Lands End, Flambards Theme Park, Parrott Park and St Michaels Mount. Would definitely return. Hope this helps
