Not at all Ed, it would take more than that to put me off..... I just realised that by responding to some points you raised that I was probably divulging far too much.0

Finally, something has confirmed in my TCB account! I was wondering whether it would ever happen....! And, (I'm late to the party with this) I can see that you can take the cashback in he form of gift cards, how cool is that!0

They even give you a wee bonus for doing so

Brilliant isn't it! I'm thinking I could perhaps use this for Christmas gifts next year.......edinburgher wrote: »They even give you a wee bonus for doing so

DH visited the B2L last night and looks like we will be replacing the shower! Currently organising the plumber. And, tenants have had a baby, how exciting!
Think I'm going to order Christmas lunch items from M&S - I usually cook everything from scratch but am appealed by the idea of buying some of the items ready made so that they just popping in the oven. This way, I get to build the playmobil rather than being stuck peeling potatoes whilst everyone else does the playmobil!0 -
Could you peel, blanche and freeze the potatoes in advance? I had read that this was a thing what works :rotfl:
Not that I'm trying to take money from M&S, their food catalogue is usually lovely, this has been the first year that I haven't seen it

Yes, I could..... however, I'm planning to spend Christmas Eve with friends and family having a few drinks and being Merry.... far more preferable to peeling spuds

Christmas food ordered from M&S with £30 deposit paid... balance payable upon collection. There's cheaper ways of preparing a Christmas lunch, however the whole lot has cost me less than I paid for the Free Range Turkey that I bought when we had our first Christmas in this house - and that was 9 years ago

Some Quidco money received - current account running lowish so it can stay in there, TCB checked and a few more things are now confirmed.
I'm at that point now where I start to panic as to whether I have bought the DC enough Christmas presents - it always happens. I need to resist the urge to buy pointless cr8p just so that they have more to open - it's such a waste and I honestly know that they'd be delighted whether they had extra presents or not.
DS1 has only 3 things on his Christmas list and DS2 doesn't have much more....
I need to get their presents wrapped as this will remind me of what I've got them so far and hopefully quell the urge to buy more!0 -
My hoard of presents for everyone seems a lot smaller this year and I keep worrying I have forgotten something but am hoping it is more that I have been sensible. I think I just have 2 small things to get and then just wait for the rest to be delivered which should be by the weekend.MFW 2025 No. 7 £2731.07/£2700
