this is my 1st posting but i have been a "lurker" for a while. I have been comparing my outgoings with others posted and am concerned about my fuel consumption.I pay my gas and elec jointly to scottish pwer and it has just gone up to£121 per month. We have a 3 bed mid terrace house.2 adults 1 teenager(using most of the electric i suspect) and 1 infant.i have emailed the suppliers customer service dept who have replied with a phone no to call to get info on best tarrif ( but closed now due to it being outwith office hours). ps- i am not paying off any outstanding amount to them

Register with Quidco and then have a look at the energy suppliers through them.
They have the likes of USwitch, you put in usage amounts and things from your bill and they will advise you of potential savings.
You can get cashback if you change through Quidco.
Make sure you clear your cookies though before clicking through to sign up when you have decided.

If you have visited u-switch direct, or through another link, then the cookies will have been left.
To get the quidco cashback, you need there to be no cookies left before.
Have you joined quidco? there is info about this on their site.
If you change, then just make sure you take readings at the time of the change.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -
£121 a month for gas and electric seems very high. We have a 2 bed mid terrace with 2 adults and a toddler and we pay £65.50 a month for gas and electric (also scottish power.).Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

is the cost based on estimates or real meter readings?
read the meters every week and see how much you are actually using and work out the real cost.0 -
ive jsut had my bill from powergen ( i had major probs last year when i switched) it has gone up , but some of thats because they hav estimated it, but my electricity usage has gone up alot since thistime last year, thingis i cant think why.......
anyway reason for my reply is that u switch and energyhelpine bot recon i could save 130 by switching to scotish power onle tarif dd would be arounf 50 per month.....
bit reluctant to swap though after my problems last year, and prices are ment to be droping shortly arnt they?Debit was £64k (light bulb Feb 05)
