Buying all Christmas presents using discount codes and vouchers

Options
Hi all

I had a little brainwave earlier and thought would it be at all possible to buy all of my Christmas presents only using discount codes and vouchers?

Worth a shot right?

But anything I can't get with a discount voucher I'll hand make it... :D

I have loads of subscriptions to websites that send me voucher codes etc etc... so that's where I got the idea from. :p

Anyone up for the challenge?

everything i have bought so far for christmas i have used a discount code or money off voucher, or doubled up tesco voucher, or from the sainsburys half price toy sale.

I still have things to buy but am waiting for some way of getting them cheaper than the rrp.

in fact i rarely buy anything full price since finding this site!:money:
  • Awesome! I might set myself a little challenge..

Seeing as I have a fair few people to buy for... I am going to do it as cheaply as possible.

Who has any discount code and voucher websites to share? :)

  • There is nothing i have bought at full price, In between all the deals, vouchers and half price sales, 3 for 2 and god knows what else lol i have saved hundreds. Even the stunning stuff i picked up in the disney store on saturday was reduced. I have done a amazon list so i can check prices on there and as they go down to something i think is a good price i then buy it. I bought my daughters kindle with the 20 quid amazon voucher from the love film offer and i am now looking for good deals on the i pad 2 now for my oldest girl. But with apple i know i wont get alot but i am still looking! Same with food and drink picking up drink and food thats keeps as and when it comes on offer. We always give to charity and i always give couple of presents into the fund for disadvantage children every year and this site allows me to do it! Homebargins yesterday i picked up lots of little pet shop bits for my daughters stocking for 1.99 when the full price was 6 quid plus lots of other branded toys for a 1/3 of the price. For example the snuggle buddies 25 quid full price advertised on the t.v and in homebargins was 4.99. Along with body shop deals and other recent offers means i can make up christmas baskets and buy for family and friends that i would not of otherwise been able to do. My kids get everything they want on their lists and all around its a happy christmas so thank you to everyone who posts deals and shares their voucher codes. Very much appreciated!

  • Wow Always After A Bargain, that's amazing :) :T

    How do you do it?

I have signed up to Discount Codes. co. uk and Groupon along with voucher cloud and voucher codes on my iphone. I have a few cinema trips and dinners out with my bf and has saved us a bundle.

Now to take it up a notch and do all of christmas :)

It's defo worth signing up to Discount Codes I got two pairs of jeans and two dresses from Matalan and Dotty P's and had codes for 20 and 25% off!! Made it so much cheaper :)

  • Ive just looked through m Christmas stash and cant see anything ive paid full price for. Kids bikes were bought from toys r us with a 20 per cent off code, toys were all bought in the boots or argos 3 for 2, Boots 3 for 2 on gifts sets (collecting advantage points on the way for stocking fillers, on 3 for 2 as well) Pjs and clothes were bought from tesco, double up vouchers and nightwear on 3 for 2, as well as some more toys on double up, Worked i got nearly £200 worth for less that a tenner. Everything else was bought reduced or on special offer. I think the only thing i may have to pay full price for is a Pandora necklace for my mum but ill buy it online from Argento or john greed to get cashback. Oh yes and anything i buy online i go through topcashback, just spent a free £49 voucher and bought headphones and dvd's for the kids.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I haven't paid full price for a single xmas present, all been saved from January sales at the beginning of the year, or glitches/offers that I've bought throughout the year. Same goes for xmas cards & wrapping paper - they were bought in January sales and stashed away. As long as you have somewhere to store things then you can save yourself a small fortune. As well as saving the stress of having to go out and get everything in the Christmas shopping rush. Ohh.. I do love a bargain! lol! :)

With the exception of some posh chocs purchased from the newly opened local choc shop, I think pretty much everything I've bought so far for this months birthdays and christmas has been either free or using vouchers obtained from survey sites, discounted in deals or subject to cashback via quidco. Everyone is down for a chocolate orange, like it or not... Thanks Tesco :-) planning on using vouchers to double up for some champagne tomorrow..

If you have kids with specific requests it will be harder but buying for adults should be a breeze.

Incidentally http://uk.camelcamelcamel.com/ is a useful tool for finding out if you are getting a decent deal at Amazon or if it may be better to wait for a while.
