After reading on some threads here about Glucosamine I gave https://www.zipvit.co.uk a go, I had very good service got a free gift for spending over £25.00 and they chucked in a book explaining supplements etc. They were loads cheaper than high street health stores.
I will use them again.
Also take a look at https://www.simplysupplements.net I think they have buy one get one free on a lot of things.

If you buy from Healthspan do a search for "healthspan discound code" first as there are usually some about, (newspapers, magazines etc, brochures) which knock £2 or more off a £15 spend. Healthspan do Vit D3 the most effective form.
Zipvit are excellent for price, unbeatable for Carnitine, There Omega Juice while not to everyone's taste is the most costeffective source of Omega 3. Do not buy Vit d2 from them, least absorbed form. They claim they price match but lots of people have found like I have it's more hassle than it's worth.
Simply Supplements are usually pretty competative. They do honour their price match pledge instantly, wrong form of Vit d.
Do check out Holland and Barrett their super sales sometimes work out best value though the prices do need double checking to be sure.
Boots also CAN SOMETIMES, not often, work out cheaper on offer if you are lucky.
When/if buying Vit C consider only time release formulations and low dose. High doses are wasteful as only 50% taken up and non time release have a half life of 30mins once in the blood stream.
Best buy for Vit D is BIO-TECH Pharmacal Inc. only place that sells the dose level nearest to the amount your body actually uses daily this has a half life of 21days so no problems taking on 5/6 days a week only. Risk assessment for vitamin D -- Hathcock et al. 85 (1): 6 ... shows this level is less than half the level that could after months and months of daily use cause problems. Until April when Sunlight is available free, every adult in the UK would benefit from this level of supplementation.
Remember Quidco if you want to have 24% off Healthy Direct they sometimes have a sale section so it may be worth checking.
Don't forget that Also positive effects on body-weight management have been shown using green tea mixtures. Green tea, by containing both tea catechins and caffeine, may act through inhibition of catechol O-methyl-transferase, and inhibition of phosphodiesterase. Here, the mechanisms may also operate synergistically. In addition, tea catechins have antiangiogenic properties that may prevent development of overweight and obesity. Furthermore, the sympathetic nervous system is involved in the regulation of lipolysis, and the sympathetic innervation of white adipose tissue may play an important role in the regulation of total body fat in general.
I've been drinking Green Tea for a while now and I think it helps in many ways, not just weight loss. So it may be worth a try. Tesco green tea bags are the cheapest I've found, but Chinese Cash and Carry's tend to have the cheapest leaf,(100g@ 49p going north A1 Buckden area.) If you've not had it before best with no milk, made with water off the boil, add lemon or ginger for a change. The green tea supplements tend to be expensive and I don't have any evidence they work.
I'd be interested to know what India and Neris's suggest vitamin wise for weight loss.My weight loss following Doktor Dahlqvist' Dietary Program

Ted -thanks for your very informative post. The idea re India and Neris's diet is that they supplement that particular diet - I don't know whether they assist weight loss regardless. Psyllium husks - which is fibre packed for healthy bowels! Chromium - something to do with breaking down fat. Multivitamins without iron. Vitamin C for smokers and Omega fish oil. The diet is low carb/high protein a bit of a hybrid of Atkins and GI. I bought the book via quidco delivered to my local WH Smith - found that was the cheapest.0
