Hiya

I am claiming £1368 from cap 1, I have just received a letter offering £532. Obviously I wont be accepting it, do I send a letter now saying I wont be accepting or just go to moneyclaim.

thanks

    Hi Saintly,

I'm unable to answer your question sorry but may I pick your brains?

How long has it taken Cap 1 to mae this offer to you? Made a claim myself last Monday and wonder how long before they'll get back to me.

you need to give them 14 days to respond - then send the second letter.

    it has took 3 letters,

    40 day letter
    14 day letter
    7 day letter

they were 4 days over the 7 day letter before action before the offer came today, they have been absolutely useless

  • Have a look on the Consumer Action Group website - there's a rejection letter template there that basically says you'll accept it as part payment only and will continue to pursue the rest. They'll not respond to it, you just stick to your schedule for filing with MCOL etc.
