How to do a santa plate?

Hi,
I'm thinking of doing a santa plate this year for LO (mince pie, carrot drink) and would love to keep it for next xmas.
I've had a look for ceramic pens but most are expensive and are not dishwasher safe.
Can anyone help?

I love this idea! I've been thinking about personalising plates for Christmas this year and I'm going to give these peel-off china markers a go.Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0

I don't have any ideas (except poundland, melamine, job done ) but I was wondering...one plate for one use a year....does it have to be dishwasher safe?0

I use Pebeo 150 for my plates etc. Once baked it is dishwasher safeNothing Changes if Nothing Changes0

Just don't repeat my experience ..... I did one afew years ago. I painted santa and then a mince pie underneath. Unfortunately it looks more like Santa doing as poo! It provides a great laugh to family and friends each year. Embarrasing for me but it still gets pulled out on Xmas eve!!0
