Hi, planning on installing a multi-fuel stove and was wondering if anyone can recommend a good installer who services the North Coast.

Hi there is Maurice Phillips on the main Ballymena/Ballymoney road beside the Fort Royal. I Know Suki 1964 thinks very highly of him, and he seems to know what he is talking about.

To be fair now I did only purchase my stove from him as hubby is a builder and we done a self install. However he advised us every step of the way and he is a qualified heating engineer and does know what hes talking about
Theres another fella in Ballymoney - at the Ballybrakes business park. He used to just do fire places but has moved into stove installation, he too seems to be busy enough
Or ring lamotts and see if they have a list of fitters as Im pretty sure they sub the work out0 -
Can Flue from an oil burning stove or oil boiler be used for a solid fuel stove? I'm told it's class 1.0

How can I check this? This whole process has been a minefield!!
No idea as I'm a housewife and not a heating engineer
However there's some great helpful people on the LPG and other heating board who will be able to help. And I'm sure if you do a read of the older threads the answer may already be given.
Did you have any luck finding an installer?0 -

I understood that you were there authority on all things to do with stoves?!
I've narrowed my list down considerably, but I just need to be sure that I def need the flue I've been quoted by the suppliers who've quoted for the job. I've had some quotes from Plumbers who've said that the existing flue I have which was for an oil burning stove was more than adequate. As you know, the price of the job would be quite different if I didn't need flue!0 -
Hi, just wondering if anyone else had any recommendations for multi fuel burning stove in and around the Newtownabbey area? Many thanks0
