Hi I was wondering if anyone can help. My Husband started a new job last Monday and worked for three days, on the third day he was told that because he had started in the middle of a staff rota there are no no more shifts available until the 23 rd November which will basically leave us desolate over Christmas time! What I was wondering is is he still supposed to be paid as he is on a 44 hour a week contract? Any advice is greatly appreciated. xx

If his contract really is for 44 hours pw (rather than 'up to' 44 hours pw) then he should be paid for 44 hours.Signature removed for peace of mind0
