When you do your shopping list, rather than using a note pad, use an old cereal box, just cut it up into handy sized bits then you have free shopping list pad.
Then of course when you return from your shop you put the list into recycling

thats a good idea
I use the backs of leaflets and generic letters that come through the post as note paper- just turn it over and write on it- most are white anyway!
As long as it doesn't have you address on- poss identity theft issues..0 -
or just scrap paper, if you use a printer and something hasnt printed out right or wrong size, cut the paper up and use the back then when finished with put it with your newspapers for recyclingNo Links in Signature by site rules - MSE Forum Team 20

The big bits (front and back) are great for young kids to draw on as they don't get scrumpled up like paper.0

PS I use old business cards (from my old job) for short shopping lists (I write small!).
Also good for keeping measurements in your bag if you're looking for new curtains or whatever.0 -
Hand old cornflakes boxes, kitchen roll inners, loo roll inners, any sweetie papers from tinned sweets (e.g. Roses) , birthday and Christmas cards etc. into your local school, nursery or playgroup. They are always looking for things for 'makes'
Old wool also is appreciated, alongside yoghurt tubs (our council doesn't take ours triangle with a 5 in it stuff.for recycling)
The way I see it, is if it's to be recycled it may aswell be re-used first and save these groups buying materials for crafts.
They're always happy when we hand stuff in,:DMember of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

I have been saving the inner bags from cereal boxes - what can they be used for?
They feel like grease proofed paper but I experimented with a sheet in the oven and it evaporated to a small slime.
Could I use it as a freezer bag?
