Can anyone give me information on whether it is possible to play UK DVD's in Canada. I have a DVD of my wedding in 1963 which was transferred from cine film and I wanted to take it to Canada to show friends who live there. Is there any easy way to do this. Thank you.

Depends if it's region free or not.
If it's region free, then they can see it no problem.
If it's region 2, then they'll have to use a multi region dvd player."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

It is if their DVD player can play PAL disks, or if they can play DVDs on their computer.0

Thanks to eyelinerprincess and movieman for their advice. Maybe they can help me further. Is it a requirement of the PC or DVD player to be able to play PAL discs. In Canada, although the DVD I have may be region-free, because it is a PAL system one, would the dvd player have to be able to play these. Is it the norm that DVD players in Canada are able to do this. Please excuse my ignorance of how these things work.0

Region is irrelevant, because you can't set the region of burnt DVDs.
What matters is whether the DVD player can play PAL and whether the TV can display it. The only time I've sent a PAL DVD to someone in Canada, they couldn't play it because either the DVD player wasn't able to do so or the TV couldn't display it.0 -
Thanks, movieman. I seems I will probably be out of luck.0

Some US players don't be able to play PAL discs at all... :-("Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect." - Mark Twain0
