    I have had a number of credit cards over the years, although when I was saving for the deposit on the house I thought it would be better to pay them off. Now it seems you're better off with debt...

    I would be surprised if I was turned down due to short employment as I am employed by them in a technical professional role. I am on the electoral role although this section does show as a warning on the equifax file because I've been here less than 3 years.

    There is no doubt that we have the ability to pay, and comfortably so.

    I am going to get the credit reports through the post then call them and ask for the precise reason for refusal, if after requesting someone underwrites it manually I don't get the offer then I have no choice but to look for credit elsewhere. It's so frustrating.
