nhs discounts : mortgage offer

nhs discounts website is restricted to nhs staff

current offer is from the Halifax for a fixed rate mortgage

year 1 = 1.99% year 2 to 5 = 5.99% :fixed arrangement fee is £1999.00 !

is this a terrible offer?

    That is not only for NHS - that deal is available across the board

    I think you may be wise looking and products that are not stepped in this way, and look at lower arrangement fees

    Difficult to say without knowing what figures you are looking at.
