I remember a mate of mine telling me that you could claim money back if you washed your own work uniform.
Does anyone havea template letter for this please?

you need to write to your tax office and inform them you are responsible for washing uniform supplied by your workplace the uniform has to have company logo on it to qualify, are you sure you don't already get this allowance in your wages some firms adjust your tax code to include this allowance Tescos do0

Heres the thread, read through it it explains what to do, I got back £166.68 for 5 years worth, but if you are working it will just be adjusted in your tax code,so no money in your hand as such. If you are not working they will send it to you in the form of a cheque.
