Tescos exchange

Hi,

Sorry didnt really know where else to put this?

If I change my £10 vouchers for £20 via the exchange deal and my items only come to £18 what happens to the change? Is it lost?

The explaination on the web can read 1 or 2 different ways...

Thanks.

It won't work you have to spend £20.00. The vouchers come out in £10 batches, so you can either use 1 £10 voucher and pay the £8.00 or find something to make up to £2 and use both of the £10 vouchers.
I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!

I'm curious about this too! So glad you asked but am interested in the response. Say you change £10 worth of vouchers into £20 to use on home phones but the home phones only cost £19.99 obviously there's a penny difference now can I add any item to make it up to £20 or would it have to be out of the phone section?! If this is the case what would be the cheapest thing to buy in that section? And how would I go about finding out?! As Ideally i want to be able to buy the phones using just the vouchers and not spend anything if I can help it!

  • Hi,

    from Tesco,

'You can use a higher value Clubcard voucher and any change will be credited back to your Clubcard account.'

'Change will be credited back as points and carried over to your next possible Clubcard statement.'

Is that no for doubling up? Say for example you have one 5.00 pound clubcard voucher and one 6.00 pound clubcard voucher this would make eleven pounds and you can't double up eleven pounds they would credit that extra pound back to your clubcard and they double up your ten pounds.

I think you have mis-understood the question.

The OP is talking about after doubling up. Your quote refers to using a clubcard voucher, not a doubled up one, worth more than the amount you need.

Op as Cosmic- Dust said, if your items come to £18 you will only be able to use one and will have to pay the other £8.00.
  • Hi,

mmm, had another read of it and yes seems that way.

    This is from faq's,

'Can I get change when spending my Exchange tokens?

No, the value of the items you buy with your Exchange tokens must be equal to or exceed the value of the Exchange tokens after any discounts have been applied.'

I asked a similar question before when I was thinking of getting a computer and was told that all items had to be from the 'computer' section. So yes you would have to buy something from the phone section.

Unless anyone on here knows the cheapest item included in that section I would imagine it is a case of going through the phone section yourself.

I have heard that someone was allowed to buy a lifetime carrier bag in store to make up the difference, but I was told that could not be done at my store.
