They will survive but if they continue importing titles from outside Europe they might end up in a big expensive mess. The music industry is not different from any other industry. Weak markets get lower prices but are not allowed to export back into Europe. CD-WOW continues to ignore this and there is also some rumors they moved their HQ to Hong Kong to save on taxes. We have all been traveling the world and one thing that always made it a pleasure was the price difference on products and you returned with clothing, music, movies and other stuff that was cheaper abroad. Someone at CD-WOW must have been thinking "why not bring this experience to the user trough the internet"? The only thing they needed to do so was bending a few rules and setup offices in exotic places and then let other (national) companies do all the promotion and marketing. I'm not saying the music industry is perfect or doing the right thing - I'm just not a big fan of companies that only compete on prices and only excist because others do their work in promotion and marketing and I'm especially not fund of them if the break or bend the rules to be able to do so. I paid £10 for an album 10 years ago and I have no problem paying £10 for an album today. Almost everything else in the entertainment industry is getting more and more expensive, but everyone expects CD's to get cheaper and chepaer even though the total numbers sold are lower and lower and the record companies have to recoup their investment from less. Got caried away - sorry!
