Will they fit in something like a steradent tube? You could decorate it?
Or...*thinks hard*
get a box with a 'slot' in the lid - you might have to make it, and have a bit of ribbon coming out - when she pulls the ribbon she pulls ot the coins, one by one, as they are glued (glue gun?) to the ribbon. Box could be decorated with pictures of her growing up?
I like this idea better TBH
You could have the coins on the ribbon interspersed with, say wrapped sweets, (Quality Street for instance) stitched or glued to the ribbon.
Ooh I like this even better
OR
One of those books
like this or this with the coins glued to pages
or you could get this and stick 'em in the pocket if it has one
or this and make a collage of them in the frame
or this and fill it up with the coins and some shredded cellophane
or buy a helium balloon and put them in it! Or some ordinary balloons - 30 of them, each with a coin in?
But I like the box idea best, still!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

I am topping my mums christmas pot of gold (in a plastic cauldren) with £2 coins. I intend to stick them to an upturned circle of sticky back plastic which will cover the sweets and fill the odd gaps with gold glitter. I am then going to wrap in cellophane and get lots of different coloured ribbons to tie it with, and curl. Then I will add a poem or something about it being the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow (ribbons to represent the rainbow).0

Wow, thanks for all of your answers, some great ideas....I love the box with the ribbon idea and DS already has a 30th glass that he could put the coins in and I've just ordered the photo frame.
I have a retro sweet box for her and plan to make pots of gold for the table at xmas...just need to plan how to weave something to do with Jason Donovan into my plans as she has had a thing about him since Neighbours!!!!Be kinder than necessary because we do not know the battles that someone else may face

Instead of coins, how about 30 lottery tickets in a home made advent calendar http://www.homemade-gifts-made-easy.com/homemade-advent-calendar.html
