Hotel Cristal Palace is good standard and very well located, 5 minutes walk from station with line to airport and 5 mins from Ramblas. More importantly for Barcelona, despite being so close to everything it's on a very quiet street. Lots of high end shops in the area and plenty of reasonably priced restaurants.0

The Barcelona princess, it is away from the main areas but next door to a huge mall and metro stop so can get to everywhere in no time, the free mini bar also helps, lol
I want to go back now :-(0 -
If you want to make an impression and money is no problem then you can't do much better than the Hotel Arts on the seafront

Sorry have to disagree about the Hotel Arts... Its just not in the right location, especially for a girls trip (Way too far from the Shops!)
If you want modern Hotel 1898, the pool on the roof top is great and get the best rooms you can afford. It is a statement hotel and their bar is a great meeting place for cava before venturing out! If that is too pricey, I like both the Hotel Central and the Majestic. The Majestic is old world, but I like for the location and breakfast is great too. The stroll down to Plaza Catalunya is great as it passes good cafes and the biggest Zara in town! The Central is a good choice and last time I stayed there I emailed as it was a special location and they upgraded us free to a suite. My partner was impressed.0 -

Nice rooftop pool with great views, excellent breakfast and prices which are not too unreasonable. Decent location with regular buses from right outside the door and very close to the casino and marina etc. Beach less that 100 metres away.0
