Philips halogen energy savers 3 for £4 at Sainsburys until 9/11/2011

They have a wide range of sizes, wattages and bases available at my local store. While not quite as energy saving as CFL bulbs, they have their uses (good for dimmer switches or fixtures that only fit small bulbs) and save some energy. They also last about twice as long as regular bulbs according to the packets, but my experience has been they tend to last longer than this even.
