Nooo, don't do that! This thread is all about being part of something. Glad to see you posting up :)

I agree that the facebook site was usefull having everything in one place but I for one feel quite resentfull as I gave a few of my bargains away on there inc letting a BMX bike go to a member of the admin team for the £9.50 (I was willing to do whis as I thought it was a nice site with a good community spitit). The next thing i find myself and loads of other people deleted from the group with no explanation, despite seding e-mails which were unanswered.
I just think people have been treated poorly and unfairly and i for one feel completely and utterly used by the admin on there.
Sorry rant over but had to get that off my chest lol!

    Well said, I agree entirely!

I'm sorry to hear that happened to you. I can imagine how horrible it made you feel

There are nice and not-so-nice people everywhere, I guess not even MSE is exempt from them :-(

We're not all like that, I promise! :j

I know I don't post much but I find it hard to "chat" even though I do enjoy reading everyone's posts.
But this I totally agree with, I helped out i feel with posting a few finds here and on FB, sorted out one of the lists in order and even after being deleted messaged an admin to warn her that I could still see the group and new posts even though I was deleted - which I thought would be a worry if Tesco spies were about.
She then posts on here saying many people were deleted by accident and to message if you want to rejoin, so I did, b ut nothing. And that seems to be the case with a lot of people from here, even long standing hardcore glitch finders which I think is not fair, at least you could have the decency to respond.

Anyway, I'll go back to hiding now! :D

i dont want to drag this up but i just wanted to say one thing.
i was an admin on this group but deleted myself before any of this happened and was in no way involved in mass deleting people or anything, i resigned my position and deleted myself all within five minutes of eachother. the reason i deleted myself was because of the lolcarr thing but would not and have not deleted anyone.
  • I would love to be able to post and chatter away but I don't know why I find it so hard! :-( So many times I see things on here and think I will respond to it and then just don't and think people won't be interested in what I have to say. I'm a strange one I know! lol
    Must try harder :D

    Re FB:

I have deleted myself from there when the "clearing out" started... I first joined with my real fb account and when I noticed that the member count rises within minutes I decided to open an extra fb account for it as I was sure there will be some "bad" people there so I didn't want everyone to know my name etc. After the news of T having the lists&pictures in the stores, lots of well known 4p items "not on file" I knew it's time to get out of there...
Sure it's nice to have it all in one place but I love it here more! It takes huge amount of time to stay up to speed but as long as I have the time I'll try to... Of course one day I'll have to step back a bit which is a shame but I'm sure you lovely lot will help me if I sometimes ask for details of current bargains because I know how lovely and helpful you are! :)

What I however find a shame is that people don't post so many pics anymore :( it was nice to know what to look for as it's much easier with a picture... And I am really sorry people feel like they don't want to post their bargains here anymore :( So what if "the fb people" will have it too? hopefully they learned their lesson and there will be no more leaks to T HO... maybe everyone should resort to last 4 digits of barcodes(on fb too)?
I really hope this thread will stay so lovely and funny forever as the way it was so far most of us managed to bag lots of great bargains and save loads of money too! :)

    PS. Galaxy tastes nice... :o

PPS. Where is Mr September?!

I think a lot of the 'lurkers' feel like that! But not because they don't feel welcome :)

    also re: facebook

i know it has caused a lot problems on this thread. :( tbh, i don't know what happened with regards to members being deleted (i'm not an admin on the group).

i am still a member of the group and i do find the info on there invaluable. with my increasing amounts of revision and hospital/gp placements i find it difficult to keep up with this thread. i'm guessing this is mainly down to loads of newbies/lurkers starting to post...this is great to see! :)

but the positive aspect about the group for me is the fact that the list and pics are all in one place.

hope you see what i'm trying to say and please don't take this post to start an argument....i really don't want that to happen on this great thread.

    x

Niether do I want to start any arguments, but I just think it is so sad that everyone's hard efforts to find bargains and share, dropped straight into the hands of Tesco. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a printout of everything on the till in one of my Tesco stores. Tesco cant usually get their prices right from one day to the next, yet here they had what is termed 'a gift horse'.
