Fudge2 - your puds are gorgeous. x and well done for doing what was best for them when you moved even if it wasn't really what you wanted xx
Hey guys, just a quickie from meMy mum informed me last night that her kettle is making some odd noises and could well be on the way out. Are there any 'special priced'
kettles I should have a look for when I 'nip' to Mr T tomorrow? I'm afraid I was rather lax at writing down prev details as I didn't have any need for one but would be well chuffed to get her a new (bargain) one. TIA

Had an annoying time trying to get a refund today. Brought a £4.99 tv bracket from a store 10 miles away few days ago and once home i noticed there were no fittings with it. Well, i went to my local for a refund and the Guy literally accused me of taking the screws out  and said he would exchange only otherwise I would have to take it back to the store i bought it from. It felt as thought he was making it up as he went along, i can't see why i need to travel all that way when they are all the same and i have a receipt. He even refused to call the store, OH and the manager saying he wasn't available.
Now i will need to make a 10 mile trip just to get a refund for £4.99, surely this is out of order and i should be entitled to some sort of credit for their mistake? Does any one have a link where i could contact HO or a phone number? Thanks
On the plus side i did managed to find 22p pasta, some 4p grumpy socks (5052320387021)and 50p bradwells cherry ice cream (5025001006122) hidden amongst the other flavors

Hi...im sorry but can you please elaborate on the second paragraph...my DH is also a carer for my DS but he only gets the £55.55 ..other than that no more....TIA
Really love this site and the whole friendly lot...even if it keeps me awake until 3am just trying to catch up...:)
Just about to catch up again
to reply to the above post:
It maybe because of different circumstances.
I get Carers Allowance of £55.55
My husband is self employed and on a low wage as such I can also claim Income Support.
On the letter explaining how your benefit is worked out, under the heading "How much the law says you need to live on" it says "for you and your partner £105.95""because you are caring for someone £31". The £55.55 is deducted from this. So the total I get a week is £81.40.
Hope this is a bit clearer I'm not very good at explaining things very well:j First mini munchkin due 05/04/2013 :j0
