Error From Settlement

Hi there everyone,I had a phone call from my bank the lloyds tsb stating that they had paid us back twice when we settled the loan (PPI). They said that we owe £1,430 !!!
It has come as a bombshell as we are trying to get ourselves out of debt due to my illness of which I receive not a penny. I thought we had settled it all as the advisor was with us when it was settled it.
Is there anything we can do please as I feel more ill now than what I normally do.
We do not have the money so what do we do ????
This was back in November 2006 I thought everything was done and dusted.

Unfortunately errors do happen... if you do not agree that they have made an error ask them to send out their calculations (pre and post mistake identification)

As it is their mistake they should give you reasonable terms in which to repay the money back to them.

Hi there Astaroth, I just have to tell you that I stood my ground with Lloyds TSB with their error and they actually sent me a letter apologising and that they were not going to take the matter further as it was their mistake. !!!!! HA !!! That's a LOT of money eh???? I couldn't believe it !!! :j Can you imagine my joy..... I am so so happy as it was a lot of money that we would of had to pay back. :rotfl: xx
