Which? offer

thought folks might be interested in a special offer that Which? have at the moment. You have to subscribe but can cancel at any time. They are offering a trial period of one month for £1. When I called to take them up on this offer they offered me a £2 deal until Christmas. Timing is great for me and I have used the offer to chose my new boiler and mobile phone deal and I have used my membership to check out items that family members are thinking of purchasing. I have never used Which? before but their website is excellent.

When there are so many comparison websites and resources online, do people still take notice of Which?
Last time I read any of their articles (TV related), it was clear that the ones they were keen to praise and say nice things about were the ones who were advertising with them.
EDIT: Not advertising with them, but its clear they have their favourites, and if you can be bothered to read through some threads on Digital Spy tech/TV forums you'll see people in the industry who say the same.0 -

I hope you make the most of the offer Cheshire Cheese, the Which? mag and website is a trove of invaluable information to help you in identifying the best or most cost effective goods - info which is unavailable elsewhere.
Ignore Totality's ignorant comment above, he/she is talking rubbish - Which? doesn't carry adverts and is an impartial respected organisation.0 -
...Which has always had a "Special offer".............then again see them all for free at you local library.0

Edited my post to clarify. I don't expect it to be widely agreed with, and I have no idea about other areas, but with TVs it is - or has been - the case.
Which? aren't alone though. I'm sure plenty of mags give favourable reviews to certain products for various reasons.0 -
I tried them once for £1 and thought it was a complete waste of money.0

As a very busy working mum who knows nothing at all about boilers (and hasn't got time to trawl through websites trying to find all the info I needed) paying £2 to get some impartial, easy to access advice before I pay out a small fortune for a new boiler, feels like good value for money to me!0
