How much NIC should i have paid(if any)

    NI and tax are worked out seperately and by different methods, so the BR code refers only to your tax and has nothing to do with NI.

    NI is worked out on each pay period and has no yearly calculation as tax does. The P60 figures you quote suggest that you had 21 weekly payments when NI was paid, the 2037 is the total of the lower earnings limit and the 273 is the total of the lower earnings limit to the earnings threshold, both of these figures have no NI due on them. The 2048 is the figure that NI is due on which assuming it was evenly spread over the 21 weeks gives 97.52 a week which at 11% Ni gives 10.73 a week *21 = £225.33.
    So NI looks to be spot on.
