My husband went Bankcrupt in 2006 our house has a sale order on it ??

my house has a sale order on it after my husband went Bankcrupt in 2006 . The house has been on the market for 3 years during which time we have dropped the price several times , changed estate agents approx 5 times and currently putting it up with multiple agents.
Does anyone know if how long this can go on for if the house doesn#'t sell? the stress of it all is just too much, both my husband and I are suffering with depression and anxiety.
we feel like throwing in the towel but our children are settled.

Is there still equity in the property?
If so how much?
Is there anyway you could find any money to settle this amount?

Sounds terrible but am i right in thinking pre 2007 the rules were a lot harsher but i thought something changed that in 2007- anyone know.

Hi, I think what you may be reffering to is the fact that in earlier bankruptcies there was no time limit in starting to deal with the property.

A ruling was brought in that property in earlier bankruptcies must have being dealt with by 2007.

In this posters case, the property was 'dealt with' in the 3 year period by way of a charge / order for sale.

To clarify, "earlier bankruptcies" in this case are ones made prior to April 2004,

so not applicable to this situation
